UTAX is extending its range of multifunctional products with the model CD 1063. The CD 1063 offers a copying and printing speed of 63 pages A4/min. (32 pages A3/min.). The scans of the originals and the output of the copies can be carried out simultaneously.The productivity in duplex mode reaches 85%. This also leads to a faster output. The system is equipped with the well-known wide touch panel. This enables the user to select the different functions very easily. Often used functions can be arranged as shortcuts on the panel for a faster programming. Network Connectivity By using the optional printer hard disk for the printing system, confidential jobs can be carried out or archived under password protection. The barcode printer/reader function enables frequently occuring print jobs to be identified by a readable barcode. Virtual mail boxes can be used for user-specific jobs. The jobs can be stored and retrieved individually. When integrating the CD 1063 into a network, each connected workstation is equipped with a scanner. The data can be retrieved by twain or sent to any internal PC.All scan functions can be selected and controlled by the wide touch panel. High Productivity The standard paper storage of 4,200 sheets can be increased by a further 4,000 sheets to a total of 8,200 sheets. By combining two units of CD 1063 in tandem mode, the copying and printing speed reaches 126 pages A4/min. The output time is reduced by this means to the half.Interruptions caused by lack of paper in one of the two systems are avoided by the automatically access to the stock of the other one. Wide Range of Finishing Options Equipped with saddle stapler and three stapling positions for 50 sheets as standard, the optional finisher can be expanded for a professional finishing in many different ways. These include brochure folding, hole-punching and a 5-tray mailbox for sorting, stapling and punching documents of up to 200 sheets. Files from different applications can be produced as one job. This also applies to the combination of documents created on PC or scanned-in. The resolution for prints and copies is 1,800 x 600 dpi (interpolated), the network scanner offers 600 x 600 dpi. The range of the CD 1063 is rounded off by many practical functions such as memo mode, front and back cover, ECO print, job reservation and repeat copy.
