New UTAX Multifunctional System: MFP 580 (June 2004)

UTAX presents a further multifunctional system, the MFP 580. This model is a compact, all-in-one fax machine, copier, scanner and laser printer. The system features a double-sided sheet feed. This allows for fast, easy faxing and enables the user to digitalise double-sided documents in one step. Thanks to G3 super high-speed data transfer, the MFP 580 takes 2.5 seconds to send a single page with the Ultra Quick Scan function. The 33.6 kbps modem and JBIG compression ensure a fast pace. The fax unit saves up to 500 pages for an unlimited time and offers an address directory that holds 500 numbers. Efficient work Wether as a copier or optional as a laser printer, the MFP 580 delivers 20 pages A4 per minute with a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. With the printing option including a 64 MB memory, the system becomes a high-performance member of office teams. The optional duplex unit at the back of the system allows for easy and professional double-sided printing of documents. With an additional paper cassette for a total paper capacity of 750 sheets, the MFP 580 is well equipped to handle even large print and copying jobs. Archiving The MFP 580´s optional scan system features a "Scan to FTP" function, which allows the user to store all paper documents in a network archive once they have been digitalised. The system offers top quality scanning in colour and black/white with an interpolated resolution of 600 x 2.400 dpi and a colour depth of 36 bit.
