UTAX Colour Systems: Multifunctional Digital System CDC 1526 (June 2004)

UTAX GmbH is extending its product portfolio. With the CDC 1526, the company is premiering a multifunctional colour system. The CDC 1526 digital system is a copier that can also serve as printer, scanner and fax machine. It produces copies, printouts and scans in B/W or, on demand, in colour. The printout speed is 26 A4 pages per minute, both for B/W and colour documents. The first copy takes only 9.4 seconds - either B/W or in colour. Multi-Bit Technology Produces Perfect Colours The standard resolution of 600 x 600 dpi can be increased to 1,800 dpi for graphics. This is made possible by employing multi-bit technology. Also, the image quality is further enhanced using the "Advanced Beam Array" printing technology. The CDC 1526 is operated via a generously-sized LCD touch panel that places all functions in easy reach and sight of the user. As an option, the system can produce colour brochures in a single operation. When used as a network device, the CDC 1526 allows multiple users to print or scan documents in colour. On top of this, it can be employed as a full-featured network fax machine. The system comes in two different models: the simplex (CDC 1526) and the duplex (CDC 1526 D) variant. In duplex operation, the system reaches 94% of the single-page output rate with a net speed of 24,5 A4 pages per minute. It is not possible to upgrade the simplex model to duplex.
