UTAX GmbH announces the medium-term give-up of its division “Presentation and Media Technology”.
Since the merger with the former sister company Anders+Kern Presentation Systems end of 2004, the presentation and media technology has been implemented as a self-contained sales division within UTAX GmbH.

The development of the presentation division could not live up to expectations during the last two years. Reasons for this are the high price decline, fast changing products and lack of acceptance and implementation by existing partners. For the future, UTAX expects even a further enhancement of this negative development.

UTAX GmbH is a 100 percent daughter of TA Triumph-Adler AG and responsible for the brands UTAX, TA Triumph-Adler and, regarding presentation and media technology, Anders+Kern.

At present the company is in negotations with different interesting parties to continue the brand Anders+Kern also in future. As far as a decision will be reached, UTAX will continue with sales, service and support of presentation and media technology products as usual.

UTAX´ core business, the division „Document Output & Consulting“, is not affected by this. In future, the company will again solely concentrate on the sales of output systems under the two brands UTAX and TA Triumph-Adler via the known sales channels.

Based on the successful implementation of the page price concept UTAX CONSULTING, this product division has been growing since years. During the first nine months 2006 compared with the same period of previous year, a sales increase of 10.3 percent is registered. For 2006, UTAX expects a market share of copier systems of 10.1 percent in Germany. High growth potential is expected by extending the colour product range.

With its daughter company UTAX DocForms GbmH, UTAX GmbH is also successful in the software area. The product range offers intelligent IT solutions for document management, forms printing and accounting.
